Our mission is to raise the standard in the fitness industry. Unfortunately, we see too many ‘personal trainers’ and not enough ‘coaches’. This ranges from Cert IV Personal Trainers all the way through to Exercise Physiologist.
As good as their education is, in the majority of cases they are not prepared in the finer details of coaching which is required to make a significant impact on people lives – health, exercise and fitness.
With our carefully structured and in-depth internship program, we aim to accelerate learning for new coaches within the industry.
We will be providing you with applicable, real world training, as well as an understanding of the principles that control client’s long-term results. There is a lot more to this than just exercise selection.
We want to help coaches avoid common mistakes as we share our knowledge and experience from within the industry.
The Adaptive Strength (formerly Box33) Exercise Professional Internship will give you the opportunity to experience firsthand how we work within our own personal training studio. Each of our interns will have the chance to coach within our system and become familiar with the intricacies of programme design, accountability coaching and gym operations.
We work closely with our interns to develop both practical and theoretical skills, ensuring we help create some of the best coaches in Perth and in the business.
Graduates will have their career aspiration realised by having developed the knowledge and skills to go on to be leaders in the field of personal training and exercise coaching.
How It Works
The Adaptive Strength (formerly Box33) Exercise Professional Internship is comprised of 12 Modules in Level 1 addressing 2 very important aspects of coaching – movement & strength. Level 2 is a further 8 modules diving deep into the concepts of training with pain, rehab and recovery. This is developed in a combination of internal training, in-house ‘on the floor’ coaching, reading material, videos and homework assignments.
This format guarantees that our interns gain both the theoretical and practical understanding and experience to develop into one of the best personal trainers and exercise coaches in the business.
