Strategy Session

It all starts with organising a free consultation and going through a Strategy Session.

Why do we do this?

For a number of reasons, but simply it comes down to these 3 BIG reasons.
1) We can learn a little more about you. You can tell us your story.
2) We can discover where you want to go and why
3) We can determine if Adaptive Strength (formerly Box33) is the right fit for you.

Tell Us Your Story

How do you feel. What injuries have you had. Are these troubling you now. What exercise are you currently doing or have done. What you want to do. What you want to feel like. What you want to look like.

But most importantly, “why” do you want that. Your internal deep “why” is what has the power to help you make change in your life. Without this all motivation will have to be external, and this is never sustainable. Your motivation has to come from within, you must want it and know why you want it. It is when it comes from within that you feel empowered and in control. You are taking action because of you.

After we know your story, we will do an evaluation.

The Evaluation

This will include a Function Movement Screen and Segmental Body Scan.

The Functional Movement Screen is a series of seven non-invasive movements to identify areas of asymmetry, weakness, instability and pain. The movement screen is nothing to be feared. It is appropriate for everyone. You only have to move as little or much as your body allows. Wearing loose clothing is recommended.

If you have pain, show as where it hurts and what makes it hurt.

The Segmental Body Scan is as simple as standing on a pair of scales. The only difference is you hold a pair of handles. This will allow the scanner to measure things like, symmetry between left and right, muscle mass and bone mass. We use this information as a baseline. All this information is keep safe and confidential.

The Right Fit

By this stage you will have had a chance to see why Adaptive Strength (formerly Box33) is different and ask us any questions or concerns you may have had. On the same token we will have had a chance to listen to your story, understand your why and identify where you want to go.

If you are the right fit for Adaptive Strength (formerly Box33) we will proceed onto the next stage, which is planning.

If not, we will point you in the right direction of what might be a better fit for you and thank you for your time.

Planning

Once we know where you want to go, you need to know how to get there.

This is where the true skill and experience of Adaptive Strength (formerly Box33) comes in. We create a customized program for you. It is designed taking into account “your story” and the results from the movement screen and body scan. The whole purpose is to help you achieve your goal and get you to where you want to be. The planning is not a once off process. It is revised and upgraded as you progress through your journey getting closer to your goal.

It will start by taking into account, where your body currently is. And as you progress, get stronger, get fitter, get leaner, we will adjust it accordingly so you get just the right amount of challenge and stimulation to ensure the progress and results keep coming.

Implementation

A great plan is just a plan, unless you take action and implement it.
