I was walking up a flight of stairs the other day and in front of me was a man in his late 30’s or early 40’s.
I think it was about 10 steps in total. But by the time we had reached the top he was puffing, punting and really struggling to get his breath.
I could have easily mistaken thinking he was going to have a heart attack.
He was not old, only in his late 30’s or early 40’s. He may have been younger than this.
When you are overweight, or maybe even obese, struggling to get up a flight of stairs, you certain look and act like an old man. A man much older than what you really are.
I really do not want to judge.
I don’t know his life situation.
I don’t know how many hours a day he works
I don’t know the stress he is under
I don’t know his family life, maybe he is going through a tough divorce.
I don’t know if he has tried every diet imaginable
I don’t know if he has tried exercising and going to the gym, but had not success
The truth is I really don’t know.
