With all the noise out there in the industry, it can be very easy to lose track of what it’s all about.
From Point A to Point B:
First of all our coaching system depends on getting super clear. Point A is all about discovering where you are right now. Point B is your goal or where you want to go.
It’s important to have a goal so you can draw that line to it but it’s just as essential to discover where you are now as before we draw the line, we need to decide where to put the pencil.
We spend a good bulk of the time early on discovering where you are now. This is so we can see if someone has the tools necessary for the goal? Do they have the skills, like a solid squat? Are they consistent? What needs to be corrected? Once we map out point A, we can draw that line to point B. It might seem to be longer than the time allocated for the original goal, but now we can honestly begin walking down the path to success.
However, let’s get real for a second folks. Point B is the issue for most of us. We’re living in this odd time where fitness photos are dominated by hyper-fit women and men with both genetic gifts accompanied by an artist editing studio. This is not Point B for most people. It’s Point Z
Sadly, the fitness industry uses photoshop, vomiting, and surgery to achieve the illusion of health and fitness. We need to slow down and show some reasonableness. We need to help people find their point Bs.
From here we can define a reasonable path to success. It should include realistic next steps and, even more importantly, realistic goals. Then you are on the road to Point B
When people know the goal, assess where they are now, and connect the dot’s magic can happen.
Focus on the process and on the keys to success and let point Z fade away!
