Over The Hill or Life Begins At 40?

I remember when I was a child and attended my uncle’s 40th birthday party. Everywhere there was the saying of “Over the Hill.” Nearly every birthday cards had “Happy 40th You’re Now Over The Hill”.

Even his birthday cake had the saying “Over the Hill” on it.

I remember thinking to myself. He is soooo old. It is all downhill for him now…

It is amazing how perception can change. 30+ years later and now I am over 40.

I think I much prefer the saying “life begins at 40”.

Over the Hill at 40 or Life begins at 40, is all up to you.

I will not deny the fact that the things we did in our younger years start to take a toll in our bodies once we approach 40 and beyond.

But like I said earlier, it is all up to you. If you choose the “Life begins at 40” approach you can slow down the aging process and live life to its fullest.

You may be starting from a less than ideal starting point – years of inactivity, knocks and bumps, pain and aches – but this is a great opportunity and it is never too late to keep your health and body in top shape.

There have been numerous studies that support the fact that exercise can slow the aging process. If you are looking for the fountain of youth, then exercise is about the closest thing we have to making you look younger and feel younger.

There is a cavity on the above statement. Not all exercise is equal! And, not all exercise programs are equal.

You Need An Exercise Program Than Understands You, Your Age, Your Condition And Your Starting Point.

You need a program that will invigorate you, so you leave feeling great, enhancing your quality of life, not take away from it.

You need an exercise program that understands your stresses in life, aches and pains in your body and is designs to rejuvenate you and aid recovery.

If you are keen enough and decided to give the Adaptive Strength (formerly Box33) Fit Over 40 program a go, then you might just be on the right track.

Why do I know these things… Because I am over 40. The way I train today is completely different to how I trained in my 20’s.
