It’s that time of year again …
The time when most people make resolutions and set goals for the new year. And for most people, those goals include something to do with weight loss and/or improved fitness and health.
Do you have a fitness, health, or weight-related resolutions for this year?
As you know, at Adaptive Strength we specialise in Personal Training… and, because of this we get to personally know all of our clients. This has allowed us to have some pretty deep conversations with them.
Over the years we have spoken to hundreds of our client and perspective clients about the topic of the new year’s resolution and have tried to figure out what derails people from reaching their goals and keeping their resolutions when it comes to health and fitness.
There seem to be a number of reasons but there is a definite pattern and a few specific reasons come up over and over again. And luckily there’s a solid proven solution for almost all of them.
Here’s one that we hear frequently and can help you avoid it completely:
Injury that knocks you out of the gym or limits you in your chosen sport/exercise.
Many of our client before starting at Adaptive strength either tried to do it alone or joined a gym which did large HIIT group training.
Unfortunately, in many cases the end result was the same. They would stop due to the aches, pains, constant niggling and possibly injury. While their goal was good and they thoughts they were doing the right thing, the method to get there was faulty.
This year, we don’t want to see new clients when they’ve already injured themselves and their goals are already at risk. We want to set you up for success from the start.
On top of already the longest and most thorough onboarding process in Perth, to make sure you learn how to exercise correctly and safely, we give you a Functional Movement Assessment.
This assessment is designed to identify how likely you are to have your fitness goals derailed by injury, and give you solutions to any issues we find before they become a problem. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to identify if they have any tightnesses or weaknesses that could cause injury and keep them from having the fit, active year and lifetime they desire.
Before you start on your health, fitness & weight lose journey this year, come talk to us, do the Functional Movement Assessment and see what might be holding you back from reaching your goals.
