Strong Bones Program

Stronger Bones for Life: Exercise for Osteoporosis in Booragoon

If you’ve been told you have osteopenia or osteoporosis, are concerned about bone loss, or simply want to stay active, strong, and independent as you age, our Strong Bones Program is designed for you. It’s for those who are ready to do more than “wait and see” — and instead take confident, proven steps to build stronger bones, better balance, and real resilience.

Let’s be clear: this is not a generic over-50s class, a gentle yoga session, or an online osteoporosis webinar. This is a targeted strength, balance, and impact training program, supervised by expert physiotherapists and exercise physiologists, tailored specifically to support your bone health and prevent future fractures.

We go beyond just exercise — we support you with education, ongoing assessments, and a supportive team that understands the challenges (and power) of aging well.

WE’RE NOT YOUR AVERAGE BONE HEALTH PROGRAM

Feel a bit unsure about lifting weights with low bone density? You’re not alone — most of our members felt the same way at first.

That’s why we start with a 1-on-1 assessment, take time to understand your health history, and design your training to fit your exact needs and confidence level. You’ll be coached, encouraged, and supported every step of the way.

STRONG BONES PROGRAM - Build Bone Density. Improve Balance. Prevent Fractures.

Over 90% of New Members have NO EXPERIENCE with strength training or exercise.

More than 90% of our new members are beginners to training. Many of those who come to our gym have either never been to any gym before or have hardly ever exercised up until now. We have many members who only started going to the gym in their 50s or 60s, and beyond, embarking on a healthier lifestyle regardless of age.

Here is what our members say about us!

Jess Plain

The trainers are all very friendly and supportive. Every individual has their own plan and the coaches are there to support you and ensure you have the right technique. It’s the first gym I’ve been to where this really is a big focus. It helps that the class sizes are small meaning a coach is always available to help. Definitely doing heaver and more focused exercises than if I were left to my own devices. Would highly recommend.

What does a typical sessions look like

Pre-Session Consultation

Before each session, we take the time to talk to you and ask questions to understand your current condition. We assess how you’re feeling, your energy levels, and any pain or injuries you might be experiencing. Depending on your state and situation on the day, we may suggest adjustments to the planned program to better suit your needs.

Training Session

This is the core of our program where the actual training takes place. You will engage in varied training tailored to your goals, following your individually designed program. Whether it’s building muscle or aiming for weight loss, we incorporate kettlebells, barbells, and body weight exercises to ensure each session is diverse, engaging, and challenging.

Post-Session Follow-Up

After each training session, we remain committed to supporting you through follow-ups and check-ins. You can ask questions about exercise, training, diet, and nutrition via our client portal, SMS, or email even outside of scheduled sessions. We encourage you to send videos of exercises for feedback and photos of meals so we can offer advice on nutrients that might be lacking and suggest healthier food options.
