Before jumping into your training sessions it is important you do a warmup first. Aim to arrive at your training sessions about 10-15 minute earlier to go through your warm up routine. Sure, the warmup may add a few minutes to your exercise routine, but it is well worth it.
Warming up will help prepare your body for the session ahead. A warmup gradually revs up your cardiovascular system by raising your body temperature and increasing blood flow to your muscles.
At Box33 we use the Ground Force Exploration (GFE).
Apart from helping warm you up, the Ground Force Exploration (GFE) acts as an excellent movement preparation and feedback system.
The GFE not only addresses the main components of a good neurologically driven warm-up, you will also receive real-time feedback on the quality and capacity of your movement.
This is the first step in listening to your body. The real-time and immediate information can show you the need for additional movement preparation or correctives for better movement, stability, or mobility.
